We Got Hacked

So, recently our account has been quiet lately. People are asking when the meet ups are and so forth. Mostly, the reason for that is because we are all busy with IRL stuff and that some of us are starting to lose the passion for Dan and Phil, that we don't have enough time to be trash as possible.

But the main reason: PhandomAus got hacked.

Ever since the late of May, there has been a hacker who has been trying to access the account. Normally, we're able to gain access and take it back but unfortunately tonight, we were all unable to access anything as everything has been changed and everyone got kicked out.

The reasons for this is because they want drama (they messaged me... they're annoying af). And they think that what we do is 'boring'.

Due to this, the account had to go through lockdown and it lead to the admins not gaining access for 2 whole months. 2 months clean and we'd thought it was safe... it wasn't as I was going home, I was receiving SOS calls on Twitter, letting me know that the account was compromised once again and this time, we're unable to get the account back.

So what happens now?

We made a new twitter account @Phandom_Aus. We will have to start everything from scratch but I know it will be in good terms. Our old account needs to be reported so if you go to @PhandomAus... that's no longer us unless told otherwise.

Please report that account for hacking. I rather see that account deleted than the current state it's in.

Fortunately, the old account is currently temporarily restricted on mobile so at least Twitter knows what's going on (and is hopefully on our side).

Thanks to the Melbourne Meet Up GC for informing me on what's going on. Sadly, this time, nothing to be retrieved and we couldn't access and take back the account.

But due to everything that's going on, we need to rebrand so follow our new twitter @Phandom_Aus
